An 83-year-old Yeppoon man has died after being struck by a car while crossing Barmaryee Road on August 2, Queensland Police said. Initial investigations indicate the man was hit by a Haval H6 station wagon at about 4:30 p.m. He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries but died on August 4. The 50-year-old driver, from Barmaryee, was not injured. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and is appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
