Ukraine, UAE Discuss Maritime Security

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed maritime security, food security and efforts to protect lives during a phone call on Aug. 1, according to Ukraine’s presidential office.

Zelenskyy thanked the UAE leader for what he described as the UAE’s understanding of the situation and support for Ukraine’s efforts to achieve peace and greater security. He said the talks included ways the UAE could assist Ukraine in Europe, particularly in the Black Sea region.

The presidents also reviewed bilateral projects in several areas and agreed to continue cooperation to ensure their implementation, the statement said.
