Queensland police have charged a teenage boy and a 19-year-old man following an alleged assault and car theft in Redcliffe on July 25. Police allege the pair assaulted a 79-year-old woman at a Redbank Road address about 2 p.m. before taking her car keys and grey Volkswagen T-Cross. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was assessed by emergency services but was not taken to hospital. The suspects were arrested at a Norman Park address, where police also located the Volkswagen. The 15-year-old has been charged with robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due to appear in Brisbane Children’s Court on July 27. The 19-year-old Norman Park man faces charges of robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, failing to appear in accordance with an undertaking and breaching bail.
