NAVER, NVIDIA and Brookfield have announced plans to expand South Korea’s sovereign artificial intelligence infrastructure, increasing the initial NVIDIA DSX AI factory deployment to 200 megawatts. The planned buildout would more than triple the 55-megawatt capacity announced last month. The companies said the expansion is intended to strengthen Korea’s national AI factory infrastructure. The initiative involves investments by NAVER, NVIDIA and Brookfield, although specific financial details were not disclosed. NAVER also plans to expand its deployment of NVIDIA AI infrastructure to 1 gigawatt. The companies did not provide a timeline for reaching the proposed capacity in the announcement.
