Ukraine’s First Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Sergiy Kyslytsya, met with American blogger and journalist Laura Loomer and visited the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv, according to Ukraine’s presidential website. The visit focused on damage to the Dormition Cathedral following a reported Russian drone strike. The cathedral was struck during a large-scale overnight attack on June 15, Ukraine said, with the impact sparking a fire. Kyslytsya and Loomer discussed the incident during their visit to the historic monastery complex. Loomer, who arrived in Kyiv several days earlier, has posted videos from Ukraine about the cathedral and criticized Russia’s claims of defending Christianity while attacking religious sites. Kyslytsya said the visit offered a powerful reminder of what he described as the damage caused to a major Christian landmark. The meeting and visit were reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine on July 23, 2026. Post navigation Zelenskyy Outlines Defense and Peace Efforts Zelenskyy, Martin Honor Fallen Warriors
