Samsung has launched a beta version of Health Assistant, an AI-powered personal health tool integrated into Samsung Health. The service is currently available to eligible users in the United States and is designed to provide personalized insights and recommendations based on users’ health data.

Health Assistant connects information across Samsung Health’s five wellness categories: sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness and vitals. Samsung said the tool can identify patterns in users’ data, explain how different health factors interact and offer proactive tracking recommendations.

The recommendations have been reviewed by physicians and certified health coaches, according to the company. Dr. Hon Pak, Samsung’s senior vice president and head of the Digital Health Team, said the service is intended to help users better understand their health through daily monitoring and support earlier detection of potential issues.

Samsung also said its acquisition of healthcare technology company Xealth will support connections between user-approved wellness data and clinical care teams. Future versions of Health Assistant may include coaching for habit changes and additional services, including weight management.
