A 17-year-old boy has been charged with wounding after a teenager was allegedly stabbed during a physical altercation in Alexandra Hills on July 16. Emergency services were called to Devon Road at about 7:40 p.m. following reports of an incident involving a group of teenagers known to one another. Police found a 16-year-old Alexandra Hills boy with serious injuries. He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, and a crime scene was declared. The accused, also from Alexandra Hills, was located nearby on Oxford Street and taken into custody. He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Cleveland Children’s Court on July 17. Queensland Police are appealing for witnesses, CCTV or dashcam footage.
