In a recent incident on May 20, a man was charged following a violent burglary at a Pines Avenue residence in Cooroibah, as reported by the Queensland Police Service. The event occurred around 8:25 pm when the accused allegedly threatened a 51-year-old male resident with a firearm.

During the altercation, the resident sustained minor injuries before the assailant fled on foot. The police apprehended the suspect at 8:50 pm on Morning Glory Drive, where he was later taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for a pre-existing condition. Authorities located the firearm in nearby bushes.

The suspect, a 22-year-old man, faces multiple charges, including armed entry, assault, unlawful possession of weapons, and other related offenses. He is expected to appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on May 29.
