Queensland police are appealing for witnesses and camera footage after a 36-year-old Murwillumbah man was found with serious injuries at Broadbeach Waters on May 21.

Police received a report about 6:10 a.m. that a man was lying on Bermuda Street. Officers attended and found the man suffering significant head injuries and a broken arm. He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in serious condition, where he remains.

A crime scene was established at about 7 a.m. and later closed at 8 a.m. Detectives from the Gold Coast South Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating how the injuries occurred.
