A 19-year-old Bellmere man has been charged after a traffic crash in Caboolture that injured two people and allegedly involved dangerous driving and mid-range drink driving. Queensland Police said a JAC T9 utility was allegedly being driven dangerously near Beerburrum Drive at about 9:50 p.m. on May 16 before losing control and striking a Toyota Camry at the intersection of Tuckeroo Drive. The utility then allegedly left the scene. A 53-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl travelling in the Toyota were taken to Caboolture Hospital with injuries. The 65-year-old driver was not physically injured. Police intercepted the utility at Morris Road, Elimbah, about 10:10 p.m. Officers allege the driver returned a blood alcohol concentration of 0.114. He was issued a notice to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and mid-range drink driving. His vehicle was also seized.
