Police on the Gold Coast have successfully apprehended a 21-year-old man from Oxenford following a high-speed chase involving two stolen vehicles. The incident, which occurred yesterday, led to multiple charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a vehicle. Early yesterday morning, a white Audi Q5 was reported stolen from an address in Highland Park. Later in the day, police spotted this vehicle along with a stolen white MG ZS moving through several suburbs including Nerang, Oxenford, and Robina. The vehicles were covertly tracked by law enforcement, with aerial support from POLAIR. The pursuit escalated around 5:50 PM when the Audi was sighted in Oxenford. It was closely monitored as it continued its journey across the Gold Coast. At about 9:45 PM, police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on the Audi in Maudsland. Despite the intervention, the vehicle continued until it was forced to stop just south of Kopps Road due to the deflation. The driver then fled on foot into nearby bushland but was quickly apprehended by the police. The suspect is now facing multiple charges and is scheduled to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court today. Meanwhile, the stolen MG ZS is still missing, and investigations are ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist by contacting Policelink or reporting anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Post navigation Stabbing Incident in Sunnybank Hills
