The Queensland Police Service (QPS) swiftly responded to the scene following reports of the collision, which also involved a 2026 Mazda CX-60 and a 2024 Toyota Hiace. The youthful occupants of the stolen vehicle—a 17-year-old from Capalaba, two 16-year-olds from Rochedale South and Loganholme, and a 14-year-old girl from Upper Mount Gravatt—were apprehended near the crash site and taken to hospital under police watch. While the individuals in the Mazda, aged 25 and 30 from Toowong, were transported to hospital for medical treatment, the driver of the Toyota, a 41-year-old man from Spring Mountain, did not sustain physical injuries.
