A 58-year-old woman has died after being struck by an object that fell from a moving vehicle in North Maclean, Queensland. The incident occurred on Crowson Lane at about 11:40 a.m. on March 25. Queensland Police said the woman was walking along the road when she was hit. She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on April 2. The vehicle involved, a Toyota LandCruiser, did not stop at the scene but has since been located. Its driver is assisting police with their inquiries. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and is appealing for witnesses, as well as anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
