Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that took place at a liquor store in Helensvale on the evening of March 25, 2026. The incident occurred around 8 pm at a business located on Sir John Overall Drive, involving two male suspects. The duo entered the store, and one of the men brandished a knife, threatening a 57-year-old male employee. They proceeded to steal various alcoholic beverages before fleeing the scene on foot towards the Pacific Motorway. Fortunately, the employee was not physically harmed during the robbery. Authorities arrived swiftly after being alerted and conducted area patrols, but the suspects remain at large. Queensland Police Service is urging anyone with information, especially those with CCTV or dashcam footage near the area during the time of the incident, to come forward to aid the ongoing investigation.
