Police in Riverview, Queensland have arrested a 27-year-old local man following a stabbing incident that occurred on March 19. The arrest was made after authorities were alerted to a distressing situation on Caroline Street, where a woman had sustained a stab wound. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 26-year-old woman from Holland Park West with serious, albeit non-life-threatening injuries. She was swiftly transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital for medical attention. The suspect was apprehended nearby shortly after the incident. The man has been charged with multiple offenses, including acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm under domestic violence, producing and possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, and possession of a knife. He is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today. Queensland Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing to the public for any additional information.
