Police in Queensland have charged a 35-year-old man from Dunwich following an attempted burglary in Capalaba, as well as related incidents in nearby Thornlands. The accused is expected to appear before the Cleveland Magistrates Court today. On the evening of March 14, it is alleged that the man, along with several others, attempted to enter a residence on Crotona Road but failed to gain entry. However, they reportedly managed to steal security cameras from the property. The following day, police were called to an address in Thornlands regarding a separate incident, but the suspect had fled by the time they arrived. Authorities later located and arrested the individual on Middle Street, Cleveland, at approximately 5.20 pm on March 15. He faces charges of attempted burglary with intent to use violence while armed, stealing, and property damage in connection to the Capalaba incident. Additionally, he has been charged with contravening a domestic violence order relating to the events in Thornlands.
