Two teenagers tragically lost their lives in a collision involving an e-bike and a motorcycle on the evening of March 12 in Greenbank, as reported by the Queensland Police Service. The incident occurred at approximately 9 PM on Middle Road when a Harley Davidson motorcycle, attempting to overtake another vehicle, collided with the e-bike which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Initial investigations suggest that the e-bike was not equipped with headlights at the time of the crash, possibly contributing to the fatal outcome. The teenage boy and girl riding the e-bike were pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcyclist, a male, was seriously injured and is currently in a stable condition at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and has issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward to assist with their inquiries. The investigation continues under the reference number QP2600483174.

The Queensland Police emphasized the importance of road safety, reminding drivers and riders of the fatal consequences of negligent behavior on the roads. They highlighted the risks of driving without headlights, speeding, driving under the influence, or being distracted, urging the public to make safer choices to prevent such tragedies.
