Boy Robbed in Daylight Attack

Police in Woodridge, Queensland are actively investigating a violent incident that occurred on the afternoon of March 2, 2026, where a 12-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed. According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), the young victim was approached by an adult male while walking along Station Road around 3:40 pm.

The assailant allegedly asked the boy for the time, prompting the boy to retrieve his iPhone from his backpack. It was then that the male snatched the phone and assaulted the boy before fleeing the scene on foot heading north along Station Road. The boy suffered minor injuries from the encounter and was subsequently taken to Logan Hospital for medical observation.

The Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) is now seeking assistance from the public. There were several witnesses in the vicinity at the time of the robbery, and detectives are urging these individuals, or anyone with information that could lead to identifying the suspect, to come forward. The QPS has provided various contact methods for the public to share information, including Policelink and Crime Stoppers, ensuring anonymity for those who wish to report anonymously.
