Detectives from the Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 58-year-old man from Elbow Valley, Queensland, following his involvement in a serious incident. The charges include stalking, intimidation, and wilful damage, stemming from events that unfolded on February 16. On the morning of the incident, police responded to reports of gunfire at a property on Cullendore Road. The investigation quickly led to the apprehension of the suspect just across the New South Wales border at approximately 10:50 am. Following his arrest, he was taken into custody by New South Wales police. The subsequent legal proceedings saw the accused appearing before the Armidale Magistrates Court on February 17. An extradition order was granted, allowing for his transfer back to Queensland where he faces multiple criminal charges. These include two counts of stalking, two counts of intimidation, one count of wilful damage, and one count of perverting the course of justice. He is expected to make his court appearance in Warwick Magistrates Court today. Authorities continue to investigate the case and urge anyone with information to come forward.
