In a significant crackdown, the Wide Bay Tactical Crime Squad seized drugs, gold, and weapons worth approximately $914,000 from a property in Toogoom, as confirmed by the Queensland Police Service. The operation, which culminated last week, also led to the arrest of two individuals on multiple charges.

The raid, executed on February 4, 2026, at a residence on Wave Court, uncovered 1.8 kilograms of methamphetamine, 3.6 kilograms of cannabis, 50 grams of cocaine, and several MDMA tablets and crystals. Additionally, officers found $15,000 in cash, 136 grams of gold, a shotgun, ammunition, a homemade taser, and knuckle dusters at the site. This discovery underscores a significant blow to local illegal drug trafficking and possession of unlawful arms.

A 37-year-old man from Torquay faces 26 charges, including possession of dangerous drugs and unlawful weapons. He is currently held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on April 23. A 25-year-old woman from Toogoom, facing 23 similar charges, has been granted bail and will appear in court on February 26. Additionally, a 53-year-old woman from Toogoom received a warning for possessing dangerous drugs.

Queensland Police urge the public to report any suspicious activities through Policelink and Crime Stoppers, emphasizing community cooperation in combating crime.
