Three people were killed in a devastating traffic collision in Yarrabilba, Queensland, prompting an intensive investigation by the Forensic Crash Unit. The accident occurred around 4:30 PM on February 7, when a white Toyota Hilux utility and a white Volkswagen station wagon collided on Waterford Tamborine Road. The impact caused the Toyota Hilux to burst into flames, leading to the immediate death of its 18-year-old driver from Marsden. The collision also claimed the lives of the 65-year-old driver from Stafford Heights and a 33-year-old female passenger from Kedron in the Volkswagen. Additionally, other occupants of the Volkswagen were critically injured and rushed to hospitals. A 65-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, both from Stafford Heights, are currently in critical condition at Princess Alexandra Hospital. A 2-year-old girl, also in the Volkswagen, is reported to be in a serious but stable condition at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Authorities are urgently calling for witnesses or anyone with relevant information or footage from the area around the time of the crash to come forward to aid the ongoing investigation.
