Police in Sarina, Queensland, have arrested a 41-year-old man from Oakenden following the discovery of weapons and drugs in his vehicle during a routine patrol. The arrest occurred on January 24, just before 9pm, when authorities intercepted a brown Holden Captiva on Hans Christian Street. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found two shortened firearms, four shotgun shells, and a significant quantity of cannabis. The man now faces multiple charges, including two counts of unlawful possession of weapons and one count each of possessing a modified firearm, possessing ammunition without authority, and possessing dangerous drugs. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Sarina Magistrates Court on March 9. Queensland Police have appealed to the public for any additional information related to the case.
