Two individuals lost their lives in a devastating head-on collision involving two vehicles on the Peak Downs Highway near Nebo, occurring late on January 20, 2026.

The accident involved a westbound Toyota Hilux utility and an eastbound Mitsubishi Triton. The 49-year-old male driver of the Triton, and the 39-year-old female driver of the Hilux, both sole occupants of their vehicles, were pronounced dead at the scene.
