Queensland police have successfully apprehended two men in Upper Mount Gravatt, concluding a month-long investigation into multiple property offences across Brisbane and Moreton areas. The operation, led by detectives from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch, targeted a series of unlawful activities from mid-December to mid-January. The primary suspect, a 24-year-old man from Burpengary, is accused of committing numerous offenses, including unlawful use of motor vehicles at various locations such as Main Beach in Pinkenba and Newmarket Road in Wilston. After extensive investigations, authorities located and engaged the suspects at a residence on Dawson Road. Despite initial resistance, both individuals were detained after several hours by specialist police units. Charges against the Burpengary man are extensive, encompassing five counts of trespass, two counts each of deprivation of liberty, unlawful use of motor vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs, and other related offenses. Accompanying him, a 29-year-old from Manly was also charged with deprivation of liberty among other crimes. Both are scheduled for a court appearance at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 16.
