A 15-year-old girl has been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a delivery driver and theft of his vehicle in Parkwood, Queensland, in the early hours of January 8. Police said a 25-year-old delivery driver was approaching a home on Rodriguez Court at about 1:30 a.m. when two people allegedly entered his vehicle and drove toward Alcott Court. The driver reportedly ran after the car and tried to remove the keys, but the pair allegedly produced a knife and threatened him. He was not physically injured. Officers later executed a search warrant at a Gilston property and arrested the girl. Police allege she arranged the robbery by ordering the food delivery. She has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is scheduled to appear in Southport Children’s Court on January 9. Investigations continue to identify the other offenders and locate the stolen vehicle, described as a 2006 black Toyota Yaris sedan with Queensland registration 575OU3.
