A 17-year-old girl from Cherbourg has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident that left a 19-year-old woman seriously injured, according to Queensland Police Service. The altercation occurred on Bell Street in Cherbourg around 6 PM on January 3rd. The victim, also from Cherbourg, was reportedly stabbed twice during the incident and was initially taken to Cherbourg Hospital with serious injuries before being transferred to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment. The accused fled the scene but was apprehended by police on January 5 following an investigation. Police have charged the teenager with grievous bodily harm and possessing a knife in a public place.
