Police in Townsville have charged a 23-year-old man from Kelso following a hazardous incident involving a four-vehicle crash on Saturday night, December 27. The man allegedly attempted to perform a burnout in a blue Ford Falcon along Entertainment Drive around 10:45 pm, losing control and colliding with three stationary vehicles. The vehicles impacted included a parked red Mazda BT-50, a white Holden Commodore, and a silver Nissan Stagea. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the crash. The Kelso man faces charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while over the middle alcohol limit. He has received a notice to appear at the Townsville Magistrates Court on January 23, 2026. The Queensland Police Service continues its investigation into the crash and urges anyone who may have captured footage of the incident to provide information.
