Police in Queensland have charged a 61-year-old man from Beenleigh following allegations of sexual assaults at massage parlors in the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas. The charges come after two separate incidents where the suspect allegedly made inappropriate contact with female clients during massage sessions. The first reported incident occurred around 4:30 PM on November 9, at a massage business inside a Southport shopping complex, where the accused reportedly touched a 17-year-old girl inappropriately. The second incident took place on August 8, around 10 AM, at a different parlor in a Chermside shopping centre, involving a 29-year-old woman. Following extensive investigations, detectives apprehended the suspect yesterday in a car park at a Biggera Waters shopping complex. He now faces two counts of sexual assault and is due to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on February 4, 2026. Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Aubort from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation and encouraged others who might have had similar experiences to come forward. He praised the courage of the victims who have already spoken up and reassured potential victims of available support and the importance of reporting such incidents. Authorities have provided several reporting options for victims of sexual assault, including immediate emergency services, online forms, and confidential helplines. Community members are also urged to provide any relevant information to help with the ongoing investigations or other similar cases through Policelink and Crime Stoppers.
