Detectives from the Murgon Criminal Investigation Branch in Queensland have recently charged two teenagers with multiple motor vehicle thefts and related crimes in the South Burnett area. The arrests are part of a broader inquiry into a string of vehicle and drug-related offences.

According to police reports, two boys, aged 14 and 15, allegedly stole several vehicles in December, including a 2023 Mazda CX3 and a 2021 Nissan XTrail. The 15-year-old is also accused of stealing a 2020 LDT T60. Additionally, he faces charges of armed robbery and stealing. Both are scheduled to appear in Murgon Children’s Court in early 2023.

In a related operation on December 18, police executed search warrants at multiple locations in Cherbourg, where they discovered cannabis and drug paraphernalia. A 24-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from Cherbourg were issued diversions for possessing drug utensils and other related charges.

The Queensland Police continue their investigations and encourage the public to report any suspicious activities. Information can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers or Policelink.
