A severe traffic collision in North Isis has claimed the life of an elderly woman and left two others injured, as reported by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) on December 20, 2025. The incident involved a collision between a white Holden Commodore and a white Nissan X-trail at the intersection of Childers Road and Knockroe Road around 12:20 pm. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene following the crash. An 87-year-old woman from Apple Tree Creek, who was a passenger in the Nissan, sustained critical injuries and later succumbed to them at the hospital. The driver of the Nissan, an 82-year-old man, also from Apple Tree Creek, received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries at Bundaberg Hospital. Additionally, the 17-year-old driver from Didcot, operating the Holden, was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
