Police in Blackbutt, Queensland, have apprehended two men following the theft and subsequent chase of a vehicle on December 14. The Queensland Police Service (QPS) successfully deployed a tyre deflation device to halt the stolen silver Mazda 6 on the D’Aguilar Highway, leading to the arrests. The incident began early in the morning at approximately 4:45 AM when the vehicle was reported stolen from Chardean Street in Acacia Ridge. Later that afternoon, police located the vehicle traveling near Blackbutt. After the car was stopped, the suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly captured by the authorities. The arrested individuals, a 27-year-old from Cherbourg and a 37-year-old from Woodridge, face charges of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. They were scheduled for a court appearance at the Caboolture Magistrates Court on December 15. Queensland Police are urging anyone with additional information, CCTV, or dashcam footage related to this case to come forward.
