In a series of alarming incidents on the night of December 9, a 37-year-old man from Kingston has been charged with multiple violent crimes across South Brisbane, Oxley, and Fig Tree Pocket. The Queensland Police Service apprehended the suspect following a dangerous crime spree that culminated in his arrest early on December 10.

The sequence of events reportedly began around 8:45 PM when the accused allegedly assaulted a man with an object on Merrivale Street, South Brisbane. The violence escalated as the suspect is said to have attempted assaults on two women on Cordelia Street and later demanded car keys from another individual, subsequently crashing the stolen vehicle.

Further allegations include the attempted hijacking of a second vehicle, where the suspect purportedly threatened and assaulted a female driver. Despite her efforts to escape, the attacker took control of the car, only to be intercepted by the police on the Warrego Highway shortly after midnight.

Facing serious charges including armed robbery, assault, dangerous vehicle operation, and sexual assault, the accused was denied bail and is scheduled for a court appearance at the Brisbane Magistrates Court. The Queensland Police have urged anyone with additional information to come forward, providing several contact methods for anonymous tips or direct reports.
