Detectives from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch are currently investigating a violent incident that occurred in Bracken Ridge, where a 37-year-old man from Darra was seriously injured. The incident took place on the evening of December 6, around 7:05 p.m. at a residence on Whyalla Close. According to reports, the police responded quickly to a distress call at the location finding the victim with a stab wound to the chest. He was immediately rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he is currently battling life-threatening injuries. The alleged assailant, a 33-year-old man also from Darra, was transported to the hospital under police guard due to a medical condition and is currently assisting with the investigation. Authorities have confirmed that the two individuals involved were acquainted with each other, reassuring the public that there is no further threat to community safety.
