Authorities are urgently calling for witnesses following a severe traffic collision in Highgrove that left an 18-year-old woman in a life-threatening condition. The incident occurred shortly before 2 PM on December 2, involving a collision between a BT-50 Mazda utility and a B-Double truck.

According to initial findings by the Queensland Police Service (QPS), the utility, driven by the young woman from Westbrook, was heading south along Oakey Cooyar Road when it collided with the northbound truck. The truck’s driver, a 35-year-old man from Dalby, did not sustain any injuries. Following the crash, the woman was rushed to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Police are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who saw the crash or provided help to the injured driver at the scene. This appeal is part of broader efforts to gather more information and understand the circumstances leading to the accident.
