Police have arrested two teenagers following a series of thefts and assaults in South Burnett, Queensland, which occurred on December 1 and 2, 2025. The suspects, aged 14 and 15, face multiple charges, including armed robbery and vehicle theft. The spree began with the thefts of three vehicles from different addresses in Moffatdale and Murgon. All vehicles were later recovered by the authorities. Subsequently, the teens allegedly engaged in a series of violent attempts to steal more vehicles, threatening a 64-year-old woman and physically assaulting a 69-year-old woman, who required hospital treatment. The incidents continued with the teens stealing bags from an 85-year-old man on a mobility scooter and throwing a screwdriver at a moving van, though no injuries were reported in these latter incidents. The 15-year-old from Cherbourg faces 20 charges, and the 14-year-old faces 13 charges. Both are due to appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court on December 3.
