Queensland Police have reported significant progress in “Operation Xray Tough,” a major initiative targeting drug trafficking and illegal weapons on the Gold Coast. This extensive operation led to the arrest of four individuals on a series of charges related to drugs and firearms. On November 23 and 24, police executed multiple search warrants across residential locations in Parkwood, Oxenford, Varsity Lakes, and Worongary, along with searches of five vehicles associated with the suspects. The raids resulted in the confiscation of $100,000 in cash, over 1.2kg of methylamphetamine, smaller quantities of cocaine, cannabis, and suboxone, multiple firearms, a ballistic vest, signal-jamming devices, and two vehicles, including a stolen Dodge RAM and a Mercedes GLC63. The individuals, ranging in age from 34 to 39, face multiple charges including unlawful possession of various categories of weapons, possession and trafficking of dangerous drugs, and other related offenses. They were expected to make their initial court appearances today at the Southport Magistrates Court. Since its inception, Operation Xray Tough has led to 15 people being charged with a total of 88 offences, spotlighting the persistent efforts of the Queensland Police to dismantle organized crime on the Gold Coast. Detective Acting Inspector Adrian Sala emphasized the risk that drugs and firearms pose to the community and assured ongoing efforts to combat these criminal elements. Queensland Police urge anyone with information about suspicious activities to report via Policelink or anonymously through Crime Stoppers. Post navigation Gift Safely This Christmas!
