Amidst ongoing conflicts and negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment to peace and outlined the latest diplomatic efforts following a series of high-level meetings in Geneva. The President highlighted the substantial progress made in the negotiations with American and European partners, aiming to finalize a peace agreement.

The recent talks in Geneva have led to a more manageable list of actions necessary to end the war, moving from 28 points to a fewer, more focused number. These discussions have been described as intensive, with Ukraine actively coordinating with European allies, including Finland, Lithuania, and the European Council, as well as with Norway and Spain. President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the robust support from these nations, emphasizing that this global backing underscores that Ukraine is not isolated.

Further complicating the path to peace, Zelenskyy pointed out Russia’s ongoing efforts to disrupt the negotiation process through disinformation and intimidation tactics. Ukraine remains vigilant in countering these actions and protecting its national interests. The President also noted the importance of serious consideration of security threats, including air raid alerts and potential strikes, which are critical in the current climate.

In addition to the negotiations, President Zelenskyy participated in the Crimea Platform Summit in Sweden, where over seventy parliamentary delegations and international organizations demonstrated strong support for Ukraine. This support, according to Zelenskyy, is a testament to the international community’s backing of Ukraine’s sovereignty and the broader quest for a dignified and enduring peace.
