Diplomatic Ties Strengthen in Kyiv

In a significant diplomatic meeting on November 10, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hosted Ana Brnabić, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. The discussions emphasized mutual support for each country’s territorial integrity and aspirations towards European Union membership.

President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude towards Serbia and specifically acknowledged Aleksandar Vučić, praising the ongoing dialogue and cooperation between the two nations. “We have regular phone conversations and meetings with him. We discussed European Union membership, challenges, and ways to support each other,” Zelenskyy said. He also highlighted Ukraine’s readiness to support Western Balkan countries and Moldova, while counting on reciprocal support for Ukraine.

Ana Brnabić underscored the importance of continuous mutual assistance, particularly in the realm of European integration. “I am glad to be in Ukraine, and we will work on continuing our cooperation, especially in the field of European integration,” Brnabić remarked.

The meeting also covered broader intergovernmental cooperation and regional security issues. President Zelenskyy pointed out the efforts of Serbia’s First Lady, Tamara Vučić, in addressing the plight of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, stressing the need for an international coalition to tackle such humanitarian issues. “There is not a single country that could bring back all the children on its own. That is why we count on a coalition of different countries, leaders, governments, and parliaments,” the Ukrainian President emphasized.

The talks between Ukraine and Serbia have set a foundation for enhanced bilateral relations, focusing on shared strategic goals and regional stability.
