Detectives from the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch have made a significant arrest following a series of indecent exposure incidents affecting the Ipswich and North Brisbane communities. A 35-year-old man from Deebing Heights has been charged with multiple offenses, including indecent treatment of children and wilful exposure, authorities reported on November 9, 2025.

The investigation leading to the arrest was triggered by reports of a man exposing himself to two teenage girls in the Newstead area on September 9. Similar complaints followed from the Springfield Central area on October 7 and several more between November 3 and November 6. The subsequent police operation culminated in a raid on the suspect’s residence where he was taken into custody.

The accused faces serious charges, including five counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16, wilful exposure, two counts of indecent acts, and unlawful stalking. He was denied police bail and is scheduled to appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 10.

Detective Senior Sergeant Tim Martin of the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch emphasized the disturbing nature of the crimes and praised the courage of the young victims for coming forward. He urged anyone with additional information or who might have experienced similar offenses to contact the authorities. Support services and multiple reporting options are available for victims of sexual assault, ensuring confidentiality and professional counselling.
