Zelenskyy’s Diplomatic Marathon

In a strategic phone conversation with the President of Lebanon, General Joseph Aoun, the leaders discussed pathways to enhance bilateral cooperation. Following the discussion, it was agreed that their respective teams would continue to work closely to foster these relations.

Subsequent to the call with Aoun, President Zelenskyy spoke with Romanian President Nicușor Dan, focusing on strengthening defense cooperation between Ukraine and Romania. This dialogue underscores the ongoing commitment to security and stability in the region.

Domestically, President Zelenskyy met with cultural figures ahead of the All-Ukrainian Day of Culture Workers and Masters of Folk Art, highlighting his administration’s focus on cultural enrichment and national heritage. Meanwhile, the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, participated in the Barrier-Free Council meeting in Borodyanka, chaired by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, which addressed accessibility issues.

Further bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities, President Zelenskyy approved the appointment of Colonel Yurii Cherevashenko as Commander of Unmanned Air Defense Systems and Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This move is part of broader efforts to enhance the country’s military infrastructure amid ongoing regional tensions.
