Police are actively investigating an early morning armed robbery that occurred in Moranbah on October 17. According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), a male suspect reportedly entered a tobacco shop on Town Square Avenue at approximately 7 AM, armed with a knife.

The assailant demanded cash from the shop assistant and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities are now urging local residents and businesses to check any available CCTV or dashcam footage captured between 6 AM and 8 AM along Town Square Avenue, Griffin Street, Batchelor Parade, and Belyando Avenue.

The QPS has appealed to the public for assistance in gathering information and evidence that could lead to the apprehension of the suspect.
