The incident, which occurred on October 14 between 5:15 PM and 5:45 PM, is under active investigation by the Child Protection and Investigation Unit. Travelers who were on the Captain Cook Highway or Smithfield Bypass during the time of the incident, specifically between McGregor Road and Reed Road, are requested to check their dashcam recordings. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, sporting a fade haircut, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with graffiti-style writing, black shorts, and slides. The Queensland Police have provided several avenues for the public to report any relevant information or suspicious activity. Reports can be made anonymously through Crime Stoppers or via Policelink’s online suspicious activity form available 24 hours a day.
