In a tragic turn of events early on the morning of October 15, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a truck in the Glasshouse Mountains area, as confirmed by the Queensland Police Service. The incident occurred on Steve Irwin Way, a stretch between Bowen Road and Reed Street.

The victim, a man in his 60s, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Conversely, the truck driver, aged 63, did not sustain any injuries.
