In a significant stride towards global medical collaboration, the International Medical Partnership Forum, led by Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska, witnessed the establishment of eight new partnerships between Ukrainian and foreign medical institutions. The forum, themed “From Doctor to Doctor,” took place on October 9, 2025, and included over 150 participants from 19 countries.

During the event, First Lady Olena Zelenska expressed her gratitude towards the Ukrainian and international medical professionals whose efforts have transcended traditional medical treatment to become a humanitarian mission. The forum not only served as a platform for signing new partnership memorandums but also highlighted the success stories from existing collaborations. Notably, these partnerships have facilitated over 700 Ukrainian doctors in receiving training abroad and enabled around 150 joint surgeries.

The partnerships announced include collaborations between Ukraine’s National Cancer Institute and France’s Gustave Roussy Institute, several institutions in Kremenchuk and Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital, and between Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I. I. Mechnikov with partners in the USA and Lithuania. These partnerships aim to enhance oncological, rehabilitation, specialized care, and perinatal medicine through shared expertise and joint clinical practices.

This growing network, which now includes 95 partnerships, symbolizes a robust step forward in fortifying Ukraine’s healthcare system through international cooperation, expertise exchange, and joint medical practices. The initiative, which began at the 2023 Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, continues to expand its impact, enriching all parties involved with invaluable medical knowledge and practices.
