Queensland Police have arrested a 46-year-old man from Darling Heights on multiple drug-related charges after discovering over 8 kilograms of cannabis on his property. The arrest occurred on October 7, following a meticulous operation by the Darling Downs District Tactical Crime Squad. The police executed a search warrant at a residence on West Street around 2:30 PM, where they witnessed a drug transaction in progress. A 48-year-old man was immediately detained and charged with possessing dangerous drugs. He is expected to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on November 10. Further investigation led to the discovery of 77 bags of cannabis, weighing a total of 8.65 kilograms, concealed within a garbage bin on the premises. The primary suspect faces three counts of supplying dangerous drugs, among other charges, and was scheduled for a court appearance today. The police continue their investigations, urging anyone with information to come forward and assist.
