A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a 29-year-old motorcyclist in the Atherton Tablelands on September 28. The incident occurred on Gillies Range Road around 11 a.m. when the man, hailing from Feluga, lost control of his GSX-R 750 motorcycle. The rider was thrown from the bike and collided with an oncoming Toyota Rav4. He was declared dead at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have urged anyone with pertinent information or dashcam footage to come forward to assist in the inquiry.
