Two men have been charged by Queensland Police in connection with a shooting incident that took place in Slacks Creek on September 21, 2025. The incident, which involved a 35-year-old male victim receiving a gunshot wound to the leg, occurred during a street disturbance on Kingston Road. Emergency services responded to reports of the disturbance at approximately 8:19 a.m. It is alleged that three offenders entered a property on Kingston Road, stole items, and discharged a firearm. The injured man was subsequently transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment. The accused individuals, a 37-year-old man from Gympie and a 47-year-old man from Victory Heights, face multiple charges, including armed robbery with violence, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and dangerous conduct with a weapon. The Gympie man is scheduled to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court today, while the Victory Heights man has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on November 19 in Beenleigh Magistrates Court. Authorities have stated that the incident appears to be targeted and poses no threat to the broader public. A female suspect remains at large, and police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
