A 17-year-old from Yarrabilba has been charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm following a severe traffic incident in Beenleigh, Queensland. The crash occurred on the evening of September 26, when a Holden Commodore collided with two parked vehicles and a pedestrian on James Street.

The pedestrian, a 51-year-old man from Rathdowney, suffered significant leg injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. After the crash, the young driver allegedly fled the scene on foot but was soon found nearby by local residents.

Police have charged the teenager, who is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 29. Authorities are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage of the event to come forward.
