In a significant operation by the Upper Mount Gravatt Tactical Crime Squad (UMG TCS), Queensland Police have seized $152,000 in cash and a substantial quantity of illicit drugs, including cocaine, in Rochedale. The bust occurred on the afternoon of September 16, following a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Police responded promptly to Finch Parade, where they located a Ford Fiesta. The vehicle’s occupant, a 30-year-old man from Kingston, was arrested at the scene. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a money counter, cash, and quantities of cocaine and cannabis, leading to multiple charges against the suspect.

The arrested individual faces two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing property suspected to be proceeds of a crime and possessing items for use in crime commission. He is scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 9.

The investigation by the UMG TCS is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Citizens can provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers or contact Policelink directly.
