Two men have tragically died following a traffic accident in Moolboolaman, situated west of Gin Gin, Queensland. The incident occurred on the evening of September 14, 2025, prompting a swift response from emergency services. According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), authorities were alerted to the scene around 7 p.m. after reports emerged that a Chrysler Crossfire had crashed and rolled over on Gin Gin Mount Perry Road, blocking the thoroughfare. Inside the vehicle were two occupants: the driver, a 61-year-old man, and a passenger, a 45-year-old man, both from Wonbah. Unfortunately, both men succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The accident also involved a second vehicle, a Toyota Hilux, which veered off the road in an attempt to avoid the crashed Chrysler. The driver, a 19-year-old man from South Kolan, sustained minor injuries and was subsequently taken to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment. The Forensic Crash Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Queensland Police Service underscores the importance of adhering to road safety measures and urges drivers to remain vigilant of the ‘Fatal Five’ behaviors that significantly contribute to road accidents: speeding, drink and drug driving, not wearing seatbelts, fatigue, and distraction.
